A world of difference
For customers like Rich, having a home that he can get around in makes a world of difference. He can now get upstairs and access his garden after we adapted his house for him.
We want our customers to have homes that are adapted to meet their needs. This year we carried out:
- 172 minor adaptations and;
- 57 major adaptations.
Leeds Federated pays for minor adaptations under £1,000. These could include fitting grab bars and rails, shower seats and creating wheelchair access. Major adaptations are usually funded through a Disabled Facility Grant organised by Leeds City Council and we contribute to the amount. This could include adapting kitchens, fitting stair lifts or through floor lifts.
For us, adapting homes is about making a house a home.
