Energy advice saves customers money
Energy bills are one of the largest household costs for many people and they are continuing to rise.
This year we have helped customers save the amount of money they spend on energy in a variety of ways including:
- Improving the energy efficiency and EPC rating of 194 homes to bring them up from a band D or below to a band C or higher
- Fitting minor energy saving measures to 362 homes
- Giving 470 customers advice on ways they can save energy and how to pay less (eg by switching provider)
- Supporting 36 customers in having prepayment meters removed to reduce their bills.
Leeds Fed works in partnership with Groundwork to deliver energy advice to customers through its Green Doctor programme. We helped a customer to claim back £1500 from her energy company and other households saved an average of £200 a year from their energy bills by switching providers or changing from a prepayment meter.
