This year we gave the Stonegate Estate in Meanwood a makeover by building new fences.
The existing fences were old and some residents had expressed concern about a lack of privacy because the slats had gaps between them which meant passers-by could see into the back gardens.
Lisa lives in one of our homes on the estate and she was delighted with the result and feels it has improved the overall look of the estate. “It has given us a lot more privacy and security,” she said. “My children can play out in the garden now without being overlooked.”
The new fences at the Stonegate Estate are part of several improvements made this year to fencing at Leeds Federated properties. Instead of using contractors, the fences are built by our Community Spaces Team, making them great value for money.
