Carol Cooper went on a jewellery making course through Express Yourself, Leeds Fed’s new customer involvement programme. She learnt practical skills and also found friendship and much more.
Express Yourself is a new approach to customer involvement. We find out what interests people and tailor activities around this to develop new skills and confidence. Customers can choose from a range of fun activities from arts, crafts and music to learning media skills or even bushcraft.
The activities are an opportunity for customers to engage with Leeds Fed in interesting ways that suit them. Afterwards, customers are encouraged to get more involved with Leeds Fed and use some of their new skills.
Express Yourself is an alternative to the traditional customer involvement model of forums and office-based meetings. It is very popular with customers and over 100 have signed up since it was launched.
