Handyperson Service

This year we launched a new handyperson service for customers. Customers can book the handyperson for DIY tasks around their home that are not covered by our repairs service at a subsidised rate.

This is part of a new 8-year responsive repairs contract which was awarded to Keepmoat Property Services in October 2014.

Improvements have been made to the service in response to customer feedback, including:

  • Quicker repairs – Non-emergency repairs made within 8 days (down from 14) and emergency repairs made safe within 2 hours and repaired within 24hours
  • New appointment slots – we’ve introduced evening and weekend appointments and a 10am to 2pm slot to avoid the school run.
  • Text message reminders – to let customers know we’re on our way
  • New Customer Liaison Officer – to help resolve customer complaints

A learning academy has been set up to provide training courses, apprenticeships and work placements for customers and the local community. Keepmoat are donating 1% of the value of the repairs contract each year to fund this new initiative.
